Cal Young sets to throw from short.

Saturday, the balls were flying around the old Royal baseball field as the Barons scored 35 runs in two Diamond Day games. Monday, runs were tougher to come by against JR Trippe. BCMS though was able to pick up the win.

Bryant Trice tosses to Caleb Slaughter at first.

A three-run bottom of the first capped by Cason Young's two-out single answered two runs by the Chiefs to open the game. Caleb Slaughter scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the third.

Austin Simmons slides into second.

Landon Anderson slid home after a wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth. JRT got a two-out hit in the seventh to draw within two runs, but would get no closer.

Arie and Ashlyn Williams pose with Diesl the great dame. Diesl is the dog of former BCHS athlete Mallory Simmons. She was in town to watch her brother Austin play.

Bleckley won 5-3. Bryant Trice gave up five hits over seven innings, striking out eight. Anderson finished 2 for 3. Cal Young was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.

Austin Williams gets under a ball in right field.

BCMS plays at Dodge County Thursday at 4 pm. It will be held at the Eastman-Dodge County Rec. Department.
