A great show to "sit down" and watch.

It was a perfect night for a Christmas show. The weather outside was cold. Inside a warm, packed, high school auditorium, family members, friends, and others from the community got to see quite a show.

Matthew White had saxaphone accompniment on "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

The show's name "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Sleigh!" was taken from a song performed in this year's One Act Play selection "Guys and Dolls." A dollar from each admission went to the Linda Faulk Memorial Scholarship.

Variety was the keyword of the evening. There were mock commercials for Snuggies, a running gag/commercial for egg nog based upon the classic TV show "I Love Lucy," amongst many comedy skits.

Music was obviously a part of the evening including an opening rendition of "Carol of the Bells." There were several solos, duets, and trios including the touching holiday song "Christmas Shoes."

Katlyn Nobles and Brooke Bryant performed "Only Hope."

One time the auidence was happy to stand up came after Josh Valls narrated "A Different Chritmas Poem" telling the story of a solider standing guard on Christmas Eve. It was an emotional moment for Valls, as well as Cody Ashcroft who stood on stage.

Valls' stepfather has served overseas, Ashcroft's father is currently serving. The evening ending with the entire cast singing "Let there be peace on earth."

The One Act Play cast put on a show that was well worth taking the time to "sit down" and watch.

All they want for Christmas is YOU.

The seniors did a retrospective of the One Act Plays they'd performed in over the years.
